process1_initialization_failed sbs 2011
Had the error process1_initialization_failed today while working on a sbs2011 server, just blue screened on reboot and was unable to get into the O/S. Tried everything from deleting the boot up cache to changing the partition boot order nothing worked, until a brainwave hit! The server itself has the same boot up structure as windows 7 but the recover screen is different, as in it doesn't try to fix any problems before it gets tot he screen where you can select recover, memory test and command prompt. T he brainwave was to use a windows 7 disc and boot from CD, this detected that the previous boot was a fail so tried to fix the problem for me, and hooray it did! If you get this problem try booting from a windows 7 disc and let it run a boot repair, you never know might save your bacon! Mike Buy me a beer :)
